Capital Gains Tax is a tax on the profit or gain you make when you sell or dispose of an asset. We can offer you tax planning advice from one of our Tax Specialists regarding all Capital Gains Tax queries.

If you are a higher rate or additional rate tax payer any gains will be taxed at 28%. For individuals where total income and gains are less than the upper limit of the income tax basic rate band the liability on the gain will be calculated at 18%.

Entrepreneurs' relief is available on the disposal of business assets.  The rate of capital gains tax qualifying for entrepreneurs' relief is 10%.   We will help you optimise your tax position on the disposal of assets by looking at each situation individually and advise you accordingly.
